A video with Arina Essipowitsch about symmetry and asymmetry of movements. We make a crown braid with our hair. Starting with thoughts about possible aesthetics of eastern european countries, we try to discover delicately our roots: Arina has belarusion origins, my grandparents came from the czech republic. The optical elements like the white blouses, the "Timotschenko" braid, little makeup are part of an aesthetic that I perceive, a mixture of nostalgia and the "now". While filming, we tried to stay natural in our gestures. There is a kind of a simultaneity/ rythm/ mirroring of gestures, that I enforced with the cut.
